A 40-year-old delivery truck driver escaped serious injury when his truck hydroplaned and hit a power pole in the 300 block of Medlin Road in rural Centralia Friday and overturned on its side.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Joshua Camber of Buckner was trapped in his truck after a power line wrapped itself around a wheel. Both the Kell and Centralia Fire Protection District responded to the scene. They remained until Tri-County Electric arrived and turned off the power allowing Camber to get out of the truck.
He was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The crash occurred during the rain activity at 2:20 Friday afternoon.
