Salem Township Hospital will soon once again have a fulltime dietician.

After a lengthy search, Carlyle High School grad and recent college graduate Caroline Boehne has been hired.

Hospital CEO James Timpe says Boehne is scheduled to start in a few weeks.

“We are still providing all the nutrition services we need to provide for our inpatients, but this will allow us to start opening those up for our outpatients as well,” Timpe said. “So, when your doctor gives you a referral to see a dietician, we’ll be able to provide that service. That’s great for people who are diabetic or have other similar issues.”

Timpe says overall the hospital is having success in filling a number of long time openings, including those in nursing.  He notes current employees are playing a role as they are making recommendations on who they would like to see join the hospital staff.
