In regional semifinals at Waltonville, Summersville shutout Opdyke/St Mary’s 10-0 to advance to the finals tomorrow against the hosts after their 7-1 win over Field. In the loss for the Lady Panthers, Emma Pinkston struck out 8 and allowed just 1 earned run in the loss.
New Hope ended Iuka’s season with a 16-0 victory last night at Fairfield. They advance to the finals to play Gravyille after their 6-5 win over St Joe Olney.
In Class M softball regional championship at Pickneyville, the hosts beat Chester 14-4. Aviston won the Region 6 title over Lebanon 8-0. Nashville will host Okawville on Monday for the Region 7 title.
