The Centralia City Grade School Board has expelled two 11-year-old girls for two years for their role in making threats against Centralia Junior High.

The board at a special meeting Thursday night also upheld the suspension of the two students from September 16th through the 27th.

Superintendant Craig Clark says under the motions made by the school board the two will be allowed to attend the Regional Office of Education SAFE school for the next two years through September 26th, 2026.   If they successfully complete the program, the school board will then consider allowing them to return to the city grade schools.

Centralia Police say the two girls were apparently acting independently when they made the threats the same day.   One girl was tracked down following a Snapchat post while the other came to the Centralia Police Department with her parents to turn herself in.

Both were charged with felony disorderly conduct and released to their parents.
