Constance “Connie” Prince, 74, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:04 PM on September 22, 2025, at SSM Health Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She was born on February 11, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Herbert and Grace (Michalowitz) Vaughn. She married Patton Prince on August 28, 1969, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2022.
Constance is survived by daughters Connie Price and husband Larry, Candy Heck and husband Bill, Patty Smith and husband Roger, and Marie Booten and husband John; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Constance was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Connie loved to play Bingo. She was a sweet, sweet lady and loved her family, especially her grandbabies.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from noon to 1:00 PM at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Benton Fitzjerrells will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Connie’s honor to the family in care of Candace Heck and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
