Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 48-year-old Salem woman on an outstanding Marion County failure to appear warrant for obstructing the court. Sara Phillips of 1987 Charleston Road was released after posting bond.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a 65-gallon chemical tank from an oil field on the Range Road in rural Sandoval. The tank had been attached to a metal rack with straps.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called out late Friday night to a tree on a power line at Elm and Vincent. The line was sparking. Firemen stood by until Ameren Illinois officials arrived.
