Wamac Fest returns for another year at the Wamac Park on Saturday.

Mayor Butch Mathus says activities are planned from 3 to 11:30.

“We’ll have the Little Toot train and a lot of kids games,” Mathus said. “The kids games are being coordinated by the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of the greater Centralia area. Of course, we’ll have the Timmon family and they’ll be cooking up our barbecue pork steaks and the brats and hot dogs.”

Mathus says there will also be plenty of music.

“First will be Kenny Ray Productions, he’ll be playing from three to five. Then Tim Elmore, All American Music, will be playing from five to seven. Then Joel Young, our local musician here in the community, will be playing from seven to eleven.”

Mathus says there will be free inflatables for the kids, a bag tournament, 50/50 drawing and raffle as well as a cake walk.   The Central City Lions will provide the soda and Centralia Masonic Lodge the funnel cakes and corn dogs.

Proceeds will go to improve the Wamac City Park.
