The Big Baldridge and Bonfire this weekend in Patoka

The Big Baldridge and Bonfire expands to two days this year with performances from the large stage in downtown Patoka this Friday and Saturday night.

Drew Baldridge is putting the event together for the third year.  He runs down the Friday lineup.

“We really hope that people come out and support both nights so we can continue to grow the festival into being something great for the area,” Baldridge said. “Jake and Mikayla are kicking it off, then we have a band that’s been around for a long time in the Salem area called the Invaders. One of my dad’s favorite bands growing up, they haven’t played a show in a long time. They’re getting back together just for this event. I think the Salem area will love to come out and see the invaders. Then closing out the night is another local boy named Dylan Wolfe, who’s been making his run at it and putting out some songs.”

Baldridge will take the stage himself as part of the Saturday lineup.

“We’re going to have Cody Philips from the Salem area opening up. Then we’ve got a band from the Effingham area named Matt Poss, who’s really great,” Baldridge said. “Mark Wills is going to be playing. Mark Wills is incredible, he has several hits. Then we’re going to close out the night on Saturday night.”

Gates open at five on Friday and four on Saturday.

Tickets are available online at DrewBaldridgeMusic.com or at the gate each night.

Baldridge produced a music video for one of his new songs in front of the State Capitol building in Vandalia on Friday evening.
