Central City Police have arrested a 56-year-old Centralia man for aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery to a police officer.
Police report David Mercer of South Poplar was arrested on Sunday after allegedly choking his girlfriend. After being handcuffed, he allegedly kicked a Central City officer in the leg.
The alleged victim was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries. The officer did not require hospital treatment.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 44-year-old Tina Camp of Berry Road in Patoka for domestic battery. She reportedly struck another family member and broke a window in the home.
Centralia Police and Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a report of gunfire heard in the area of Gragg and Brick Hill Roads around eight Sunday night. Police were unable to locate any evidence of the reported gunfire.
