Ameren Illinois officials report they were never able to determine the cause of a power outage that left about 450 customers on the east side of Salem without power for about an hour and a half Sunday morning.
Spokesperson Tucker Kennedy said the shutoff could have been the result of a tree limb or something falling into a line that was never found.
The power went off around 7:30 Sunday morning and was restored at 9:10 am.
