Lady Cats Fall To Freeburg, Prepare For Benton Tournament Saturday
The Salem Lady Wildcats dropped their home volleyball match to visiting Freeburg last night 25-27, 21-25. The night began with the freshmen losing 13-21, 10-21. The JV also lost, 25-22, 18-25, 12-5. Salem will compete at the Benton Tournament tomorrow.
SC Nips Wayne City In 3 Sets
South Central is 4-6 after beating Wayne city in 3 sets 24-26, 25-15, 25-22. Jalynn Mitchell had 16 digs, Reagan Roberts added 7 kills with Lauren Johnson adding 5. River Yingst had 5 aces and 10 assists. The SC JV also won in three sets and are 3-2. The Lady Cougars will play at Patoka tonight.
Also in prep volleyball, Christ Our Rock lost to Althoff, Carbondale beat Herrin, Dieterich over Patoka, Lawrenceville beat Olney, Marion over Cahokia, Mater Dei beat Belleville West, Mount Vernon needed 3 sets to beat Woodlawn, Sparta over Okawville and Carlyle lost to Wesclin.
