The Salem Lady Cats volleyball team fell at home to Breese Central 25-9, 25-17 to fall to 3-3 on the season. The night opened with the freshman losing 15-21, 19-21 and is also 3-3. The JV lost 18-25, 12-25 and is 3-3 as well.
The SC Lady Cougars are 3-6 on the season after losing to Dieterich last night 20-25, 14-25. Bailey Wodtka had 6 kills, Reagan Roberts added 7 assists and Jalynn Mitchell 11 digs. The JV lost in three sets (14-25, 25-18, 22-5) to fall to 2-2. The fresh/soph split (25-15, 22-25) and are 1-1-and-1.
Congratulations to Newton coach Jill Kistner, who with Newton’s win recently achieved her 300th win in just 12 seasons.
Also last night, Mater Dei beat Waterloo in 2 sets, Flora lost to Carmi, Freeburg in straight sets over Roxana, Okawville lost to Red Bud, Taylorville over Effingham.
