The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports two people were taken by private vehicle to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries.
Reports indicate 48-year-old Bradley Pitts of Medlin Road in Centralia had glanced at the crops on the side of the road and when he looked back he had moved to the center of the road. An oncoming vehicle driven by 29-year-old Lucas Turner of Ellis Grove went into the roadside ditch to escape a collision.
Both Turner and a passenger, Lena Burk of Rufus Street in Mt. Vernon, were treated at St. Mary’s Hospital.
The crash occurred at 7:31 Monday night.
