June enjoyed growing up in Virginia and was blessed with the chance of meeting her future husband there while working as a door-to-door magazine sells lady. June cherished the time she was able to spend raising her family. While her children became more independent as they went into High School, she went back to school and worked her way up from a CNA to an LPN all the way to an RN.  June’s caring, compassionate heart compelled her to serve grateful patients during their time of need for over twenty years, while working as a nurse at local nursing homes, SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia and as a nurse and a house supervisor for Salem Township Hospital. She loved being a nurse and never looked at her work as a job. June believed it was a privilege to care for others. She was an amazing cook, passionate about her time in the kitchen creating the most delicious potato salad anyone ever ate, and her gravy was known as the best around. June had magic in her hands, able to sew, mend and crochet for family and friends. She was a loving, supportive Grandma whose grandchildren appreciated her honest advice and listening ear. June will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit and extra special care for all.

Arrangements are pending at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
