The Salem Super Cruise returns to Bryan Memorial Park in Salem on Saturday.
Organizer Ken Carpenter is inviting everyone out to see what he anticipates will be a large display of cars, trucks and motorcycles.
“Moving it to the park’s going to bring in another big crowd of cars. I think the weather’s supposed to be nice for Saturday, and I look for a big show,” Carpenter said. “We’ll have the Sheriff’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice, Chief’s choice, Best GM, Best Ford, Miss Marion County Fair Queen, Junior Fair Quen. Those are the biggest awards, then we’ll have a top 3 for each class.”
Registration is from nine to one, with judging around 10:30 am. The Super Cruise will be located in the portion of Bryan Memorial Park near the Boone and Broadway intersection.
The cruise through Salem will be at three. The route is around Salem Township Hospital to North Broadway and then south on Broadway to the Marion County Fairgrounds to Antique Power Days. The cruise then returns to Bryan Memorial Park for the award ceremony.
