The Salem Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Salem American Legion.
Salem Police say they discovered the burglary when receiving a burglar alarm at 7:47 Thursday morning.
Salem Police Chief Kyle Ambuehl says entry was made through a rear door and an attempt was made to gain entry to one of the safes. Some items were also gone through.
The investigation is ongoing by Salem Police Detectives.
