Antique Power Days is underway at the Marion County Fairgrounds.
Activities began Thursday with a large consignment auction involving three auctioneer trucks and maybe a record number of consigned items. Final results of the auction are not yet available.
The highlight of Friday activity is a tractor pull at 7:30 pm.
“We have hot farm stock Friday night, there will be two classes of them out in front of the grandstand. They’ll bring a lot of tractors in,” said Jim Sellers. Then of course Saturday all day is the regular antique pulls. This year we’re featuring Ford tractors.”
Sellers says they will be able to display all the tractors in addition to equipment displays and demonstrations, and displays of life in earlier years. There will also be flea markets and a Farm Toy Show, with an auction at ten Saturday morning in the exhibit building. There will also be food vendors on hand. The grounds will be open from nine to five on Saturday and nine to one on Sunday.
