Judith L. Davenport, age 71 of Highland, IL, passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Joseph Hospice care in Highland, IL on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Judy was born in Breese, IL, on September 3, 1953, the daughter of the late Walter G. and Leotus M. (Hemann) Stevenson. She is survived by her son, Cory (Heather) Davenport, and grandsons Easton and Hunter Davenport of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Marilyn) Stevenson of Flint, MI; a niece, Dr. Laura (Justin) Hardin, and a great niece, Londyn Hardin of Yorktown, IN. She will be missed by family and friends.
Judy first worked as a dental assistant before spending many years as a teacher’s aide at Aviston Elementary School. She was a graduate of Hickey Business School. She remained active in her community and loved simple joys like traveling and playing cards with her friends. Judy also enjoyed fishing, but nothing brought her more happiness than cheering on her grandsons at their baseball and soccer games.
A Graveside service will be held at Carlyle Township Cemetery at 10:00 AM on September 6th.
