Conagra has been issued a $1.5 -million dollar building permit by the City of Centralia to add a steel framed building platform to support a modular engine room for an ammonia refrigeration system.

Centralia issued a total of $2.1 million in construction permits in August.

Of the 26 total permits issued, 12 were for rooftop solar arrays at homes around the city.  Mission Centralia was issued permits to construct wheelchair ramps at homes in the 500 block of North Colleges and 200 block of South Beach.  There was also a permit issued to locate a $120,760 modular home in the 500 block of East Fifth.

Two demolition permits were issued during August.  They were to tear down the Momma Antonia’s building at 300 East Broadway that will become part of the Carillon Park.  The other is to tear down a garage at 523 South Perrine.
