A 31-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court on Wednesday to four counts of failure to register as a sex offender.

The charges against Joshua Witkowski of South Hickory claim he failed to register a temporary home within three days with the Centralia Police Department, lived in a household with a child under 18 who is not his own child, and didn’t register a new phone number or a Facebook account.  The incidents occurred from June of 2023 through January of this year.

Witkowski was given a one-day furlough with the requirement he is on GPS home confinement at a home in Centralia.  After completing the sentence, he will have to serve six months mandatory supervised release.
