Bryan-Bennett Library’s fall Preschool Story Times and Leather Apron Club both begin this week.

Preschool Story Times are held in the Davenport Room each Friday at 10 from September sixth through November 22nd. This hour-long program is designed for preschoolers to enjoy with their favorite caregivers. Some activities accompany the stories. Children are given a treat to take home.

The Leather Apron Club is a book club for readers in kindergarten through fourth grades and their caregivers. The club will meet for reading, discussion, and activities from 10:30 to 11:30 on the first Thursday of the month.

The books for September fifth will be any and all books by Patricia Maclachlan. The author for the October third meeting would be Robert Louis Stevenson.

The author for the November seventh meeting would be Frances Hodgson Burnett. The author for the December fifth meeting would be Cornelia Lynde Meigs.

Families can pick from a selection of books at the main desk. Children will leave with a bag of cookies and a reading challenge for the next month.
