Stallions Open XC Season With Solid Showing At Mascoutah, Head To Salem For Quad Run Today

The Salem Cross Country team will host a Quad Meet today that will include Centralia, Mount Vernon and Christ Our Rock.

Christ Our Rock cross country opened up at the Mascoutah Kickoff Invitational on Saturday.  Senior Rylee Brammeier finished 22^nd out of 143 runners.

On the boys side, the Stallions were 4^th out of the 1a schools.  There were 196 total runners overall between 1a and 2a.  Sophomore Carson Pigg was 19^th to medal.  Senior Zerek Koch was 30^th, Soph Wyatt Gregory was 38^th, Senior Isaiah Lyons 83^rd and freshman newcomer Cameron Jones was 87^th.

Pinckneyville won the 1a event and were top 5 along with Father McGivney, Mater Dei, Christ Our Rock and Althoff.  In 2a, Mascoutah was 1^st followed in the top five by Freeburg, Breese Central, O’Fallon and East St Louis.
