The City of Salem has announced Illinois Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Pine to Spruce Street beginning Tuesday for a sewer main replacement project. Spruce Street will also be closed from Illinois Street to Tulsa Avenue until further notice.
City officials say residents will continue to have access to their homes.
