The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary at a home on the 500 block of Gilliland Road in rural Walnut Hill. Entry was made by prying open a garage door.
Salem Police have arrested a 42-year-old Salem man for felony criminal damage to property. Pietro Alfano of Dahlins Drive is accused of placing the personal belongings of another family member outside the home Saturday morning before a rain storm where they became wet. Alfano was located a short time later and taken to the Marion County Jail.
One person was brought to the Marion County Jail on Friday. 45-year-old Emmanuel Neal of Cormick Street was arrested on an outstanding Effingham County no bond warrant. He was later transferred to the Effingham County Jail at Effingham.
