SC Beats Woodlawn In Prep Baseball
The SC Cougars knocked off Woodlawn today at Lions Field in Kinmundy 9-6. Callaway Smith went 2-2 with a homer in the win. Maddux Robb drove in 2 runs. Garret Shumate doubled going 2-3 with an RBI. Brody Markley and Trevan Sidwell also added RBI. Colby Bursott went 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Markley, Shumate and Sidwell combined to strike out 12 in the win.
Stallions Fall To Defending State Champs
Christ Our Rock fell to St Anthony in Effingham 11-2. In the loss, freshman Colton Cartright went 2-3 for the Stallions and drove in a run. Evan Beal had an RBI double with Jayden Bazile single and scoring and Christian Nollman added a hit.
