The Salem Board of Police Commissioners are now accepting applications for Patrolman for the Salem Police Department. There will be two immediate hires from the list for current openings.
Applications are available at the Salem Police Department at 201 South Rotan in Salem or may be downloaded from the City of Salem website at salemil.us under the police department.
Completed applications and attachments will be accepted in the City Clerk’s office at Salem City Hall until August 31st. To be considered, all applications must be submitted or have the August 31st postmark.
The orientation, written examination, and physical agility tests will be held at the Salem Community Activity Center, 426 East Oglesby in Salem on September 21st. Mandatory orientation will be held at 8:30 am followed by the written test at nine am, physical agility tests will follow the written exam.
