A 16-year-old Odin juvenile girl on her first day of driving crashed into a ditch on the North Hoots Chapel Road near Young’s Road northwest of Salem Wednesday morning.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department handled the wreck. The Salem Fire Protection District was called to assist the driver, but she was able to get out of the car on her own.
The girl was taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response for treatment of apparent minor injuries.
