A 34-year-old homeless Salem woman was arrested after leading Salem Police on a chase on her bicycle Tuesday night.

Police say they asked Nicole Dutton to stop because she had a warrant, but instead she fled. The chase began near West Main and College and traveled Schwartz to South Broadway. Dutton reportedly got off her bike and went into a garage of a home in the 400 block of South Broadway. Police heard the homeowner scream as she was trying to stop Dutton from getting further into the home. She was then taken into jail and the Marion County jail on an outstanding no bond felony failure to appear warrant in a possession of methamphetamine case and a new charge of resisting arrest.

The incident occurred at 7:26 Tuesday night.
