The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary at a rural Salem church.
The caretaker of the Cubbage Chapel Church on the Cubbage Chapel Road found entry had been made through the back door where the lock and door handle had been broken to gain entry.
Multiple items had reportedly been moved and rummaged through.
It was not immediately clear what was missing. The church board will prepare a list of stolen items.
