A 56-year-old Sandoval man has been sentenced to four years in prison after his probation was revoked for failure to register as a sex offender.

Rodney Darling of Old US 51 entered the plea in Marion County Court on Tuesday.   He admitted another registration violation that led to the prison time.   The original charge against Darling was a Class 2 felony due to a failure to register conviction in Coles County in 2012.

Once he is released from prison, Darling was ordered to serve one year mandatory supervised release.  He was given credit for 514 days served in the Marion County Jail.
