The Whippoorwill Rodeo drew a big crowd to the Marion County Fair Grandstand on Wednesday night with a variety of bull riding, barrel racing, roping and steer wrestling as well as entertainment from the rodeo clown.
Top finishers included Stetson Bierman of Newton in Bareback Riding, Kyle Cavender of Harrisburg in the Saddle Bronc competition, Abby Stevens in Cowgirls Breakaway Roping, Leo Loucks of Pittsburg, Illinois in Calf Roping, Preston Fox in Steer Wrestling, Tim Glasco of Anna in Team Roping, and Lillian Nussmeyer of West Salem in Cowgirls Barrel Racing. The top bull rider was Jerald Reynolds of Anna. Garrett Wolfe of Effingham was second.
