The Marion County Annual Youth Livestock Auction saw bidders pay $131,500 for 96 animals on the auction block. They included three rabbit pens, 11 chicken pens, 26 hogs, 27 cattle, 18 lambs and 11 goats. Many 4H members use money from the sale of their animals towards their animal project for the coming year.
Local businesses and individuals also donated $17,250 to the Marion County 4-H Foundation to support the local 4H program.
