A 22-year-old Bluford man was arrested on multiple charges after leading a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy on a chase that ended with his vehicle colliding with the squad car.  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department reports no injuries in the late Tuesday afternoon incident.

Brendan Frazier was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center for aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude a peace officer, felony driving while license suspended, reckless driving, and multiple other lesser traffic offenses.

The deputy reportedly tried to stop Frazier’s car after spotting him traveling at a high rate of speed on Illinois Highway 15 near North Dartmouth Road. The car fled south on North Dartmouth Lane and the Deputy pursued. The pursuit traveled onto Liberty Road, Log Cabin Lane, Lynchburg Road, then to the intersection at Oldie Lane, which led to Frazier’s car and pursuing Deputy’s squad truck crashing off the road.
