Monterey, Mexico is the champion of the 2024 Colt 16u World Series held in Marion this past week. They beat Prague, Czech Republic in the final 6-1. Mexico ran through the tournament a perfect 4-0.
The special awards were handed out as well. Mt Vernon standout Trevor McClure won the Wilson Batting Champion Award playing for Team Marion. Team Japan had the ERA Winner in Ridai Nakaoshi and the Rogers Base Stolen Base Award went to Yusei Nagatomo.
