Centralia Police arrested a 44-year-old Centralia man on multiple charges early Thursday night after he allegedly drove off while a female was on top of his car who later fell off at Maulding and Jackson.

Jarcus Croft of North Elm was later located and taken into custody for alleged aggravated domestic battery, reckless conduct, aggravated reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance.

Centralia Police say the 22-year-old Centralia woman had climbed onto the top of Croft’s car during an argument.  On arrival, police found the woman lying in the road with a severe laceration to the back of her head and complaining of back and neck pain.  She was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.

The woman told police the man involved was her boyfriend.  Police say video from the Marion County Housing Authority also showed Croft’s vehicle involved.

When booking Croft, police say they found a small container that field tested as containing fentanyl, leading to the drug possession charge.
