The South Central 16u Storm Chasers are into the Gulf Coast World Series after a pair of wins yesterday.
SC opened the day with a dominant pitching performance by Salem’s Cody Beard in a 2-1 win over Punching Tickets. He went 6.1 innings allowing just 2 hits and no earned runs. Kaden Milleville got the final 2 outs. At the plate, Colton Shelton drove in both Salem runs. Brody Collier added a single.
SC then beat the Alabama Rawdogs 8-7. Trevan Sidwell drove in 2 runs going 2-3 with a double, Collier and Chase Guerrettaz added 2 RBI each. Braden Rector drove in a run, Hunter Horn singled. Milleville was the winning pitcher going 5.1 innings with Horn getting the final 4 outs.
