The 4th annual Summer Market in downtown Centralia is set for ten to two on Saturday.

The market is led by Mimi Hawkins who says once again this year a large number of vendors will be there.

“We cater to the kids and that’s the big thing. We want families and the kids to have a great time. We have two free inflatables, one is a pirate ship and one is a gumball machine. We’re going to have free rides on the Little Toot for the little kids. We have face painting… along with many arts and crafts vendors and food vendors. It’s going to be a wonderful day.”

Hawkins says to come out hungry to enjoy the various food vendors and those with various kinds of dessert.

The event will be held in the 100 block of South Locust and the 100 and 200 blocks of East Broadway.

As a result of the summer market, there will be no through traffic or parking allowed in the 100 and 200 blocks of East Broadway and 100 block of South Locust from eight to three on Saturday to allow time for set up and tear down.  If you use the parking lot located beside the city hall, you must have your vehicle removed by 7:30 Saturday morning.  That will be the location of the kids inflatables.
