The Odin School Board has approved the purchase of new scoreboards and backboards from the main gym.

Superintendent Belinda Kirgan says the new shot clock required by the Illinois High School Association for the 2026-27 school year will be included.  The current score board and backboards will be moved to the small gym as part of an overall upgrade that includes painting.

The board named current teacher Ryan Williams as Dean of Students.  Tipppie Haarman was hired as tech coordinator.  She resigned her position as student council sponsor.

The board hired Bob Frederick as part-time driver’s education teacher and Ranayie Timmons as school nurse.  The board named Sydney Kuper as junior high track coach and Ryan Hargis as junior high cross country coach.

Several resignations were approved.  Carla Andrews retired as school nurse; Natalie Williamson as special education teacher, basketball and softball coach; Vanessa Hanke as junior high track coach; and Dave Spears as high school softball coach.
