Curtis ‘Scott” Sheeler, age 65, of Sparta, Illinois, passed away at 10:38 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on July 1, 1960, in Sparta, Illinois, to the late Franklin D. and Leola (nee Koester) Sheeler.
Scott worked as the Chief Financial Officer at SSI in Herrin, Illinois, until his retirement.
He grew up at St. John Lutheran Church in Sparta and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Scott enjoyed riding his Harley and loved his horses. His grandchildren were his life and lovingly called him “Hee Haw”.
Scott is survived by his Mother, Leola Sheeler of Sparta, IL; his Son, Bradley Sheeler (Jordan Smith) O’Fallon, MO; his two daughters, Jessica (Justin) Baker St. Louis, MO, and Molly Gaster (Fiance Jon Fitzgerald) Norfolk, VA; his three sibblings, Keith (Michelle) Sheeler Salem, IL, Kristen Segelhorst Okawville, IL, and Kathleen Probst St. Louis, MO; his 5 grandchildren, Ezekiel, Adalae, Penelope, Henry and Charles;his good friends, Victor White Murphysboro, IL, and Donald Huebert Sparta, IL

Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the St. John Lutheran Church, Sparta, Illinois. Officiating the service is Rev. Mark Harriss.
