General Manager Luke Johnson has announced that the Annual Membership Meeting of Tri-County Electric Cooperative will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the cooperative’s office located at 3906 Broadway in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Johnson noted this is the 86th annual meeting for the cooperative and promises an interesting format for members attending. Each member registering before the business meeting begins at 10:00 AM will receive a $15 credit on their August electric bill.
Registration begins at 8:30 AM. Members will be served coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts by 4-H students. The annual business meeting will begin at 10:00 AM and will include reports from officers and the election of three directors – one from each county served by the cooperative.
In addition to the regular meeting a ‘live line’ demonstration will be presented at 9:00 AM There will also be children’s activities including a ‘Lineman for a Day’ photo opportunity, face painting, child ID kits, a special guest visit from LED Lucy, and a demonstration from the Mt. Vernon Robo Rams Robotics Team. After the meeting, a pork chop and chicken lunch will be served along with lemon shakeups.
Members are encouraged to complete and bring the registration form from their June Hi-Lites magazine to make registration easier.
