Mary Jo Kluck, 77, of Trenton passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She was born on July 21, 1947 in Centralia, the daughter of Joseph and Dolores Kluck.
As a child she lived in Healdton, Oklahoma where her father worked in the oil industry. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Duncan, Oklahoma. Her family moved back to Centralia in the summer of 1964. She lived with her parents until they passed away. She continued to live with her Aunt Mercedes (MeMe) until Mercedes passed away in 2011. At that time, she became a resident of a CILA home in Highland, IL. within the Community Link System. She moved in 2019 to a CILA home in Trenton. Mary Jo loved talking to people and never met a stranger. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her front porch watching for friends and neighbors to say hello to. She would wait for the mailman and greet him with a hello. Mary Jo loved looking at her bird books, working jigsaw puzzles, playing games, especially Sorry, with her family, listening to her records, and being read to.
Mary Jo is survived by her sister, Margaret (Steve) Loomis of Waterloo, IL; niece, Denise (Andrew) Meyerkord of Crestwood, MO; nephew, Matthew (Anilise) Loomis of Webster Groves, MO; great-nieces and nephews, Hannah Meyerkord, Flannery Loomis, Benjamin Meyerkord, Emerson Loomis, Garrison Loomis.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dolores Kluck; her aunt, Mercedes Campbell.
A special thank you to Community Link, all her caregivers at the Trenton CILA home, and Hospice of Southern Illinois. Everyone that took care of her treated her like she was family.
