Police Beat for Monday, July 1st, 2024

Centralia Police arrested 28-year-old Nikkita Campbell of South Locust Street in Centralia on Sunday for failure to appear on a Marion County misdemeanor case.  She was taken to the Marion County Jail on the no bond warrant.

38-year-old Kendra Whitecotton of North Broadway in Centralia was arrested on a Randolph County felony warrant for violation of pretrial release.   Centralia Police also took her to jail on the no bond warrant pending transfer to the Randolph County Jail.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating who is responsible for shooting an arrow into the bottom of a pickup truck parked at a home in the 2800 block of Delmar in rural Odin.   The arrow was discovered when the home owners returned home on Sunday.

The sheriff’s department is also investigating vandalism to a vehicle left parked on Tanner Drive on the north side of the Salem Nature Trail.  The turn signal was ripped out and trash thrown on the vehicle.  The Salem man who owns the vehicle found the damage when returning to his vehicle around 7:40 Friday night.
