Bradford National Bank to host summer shredding and recycling day in Centralia

By Austin Williams Jun 28, 2024 | 2:27 PM

Bradford National Bank and Coldwell Banker Allen and Geary of Centralia will be hosting a free secure shredding and recycling day. On Saturday, June 29, from 9 to 11 AM, the shred truck will be at Bradford National Bank in Centralia, located at 1425 E. McCord in Centralia. Shredding service will be available free of charge.

Many items can be recycled. However, Bradford National Bank recommends the secure destruction of old financial documents such as cancelled checks, bank statements, tax files, paid bills, and investment statements. Metal, including clips and binders, as well as plastics and computer disks and CDs must be removed from materials to be shredded.

Randy Alderman, Bradford National Bank Security Officer, said, “We have been doing these events twice each year for the past 13 years, and have securely destroyed tons and tons of old financial documents. People really do understand the importance of securely destroying their old financial records.” He added, “We are pleased to provide this important service to the community at no charge.”

Items can be delivered contactless. Shred workers will be able to remove the boxes and bags from the back seat, trunk, hatch, or bed of a truck without requiring those using the service to leave their vehicle. Items received will be shredded on-site by a licensed and bonded service provided by the bank.
