Three injured in downtown Centralia crash

Centralia Police say three people were injured Wednesday night in a two car crash at Poplar and Noleman Street in Centralia.

Police report 21-year-old McKenna Carter of East 7th in Centralia was traveling the wrong direction on Noleman Street when she attempted to turn onto Poplar Street and ran into the driver’s side door of a car driven by 68-year-old Joycestine Jones of West McCord in Centralia.

Jones, a 14-year-old male Centralia juvenile in her car, and a 14-year-old Louisville female juvenile in Carter’s car were all taken by Lifestar Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Carter escaped injury.  She was ticketed for driving the wrong way on a one way street and disobeying a traffic control device.

The Centralia City Fire Department was also on the scene to assist the victims.

The crash occurred at 9:07 Thursday night.
