Barbara Faye Beaumont, a beloved member of the Centralia community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at the age of 82 at her Great niece: Char-Lee Godfrey’s house, where she was taken care of with the help of great great nephew and niece: Zechariah and Zoe for the last month of her life.
Born on Wednesday, May 26th, 1943, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob Fayette Reichenbach and Beatrice O. (Toedte) Reichenbach. She married D.C. Beaumont on June 3, 1972, in Centralia, and he preceded her in death.
Barbara’s journey began in Centralia, Illinois, where she attended Centralia High School and furthered her education at Centralia Junior College. Her career was marked by dedication and hard work, beginning with Littlefuse, Inc. in Centralia, where she worked for 9 years. She then spent 29 years as a manager at Waller County in Waller, Texas, and later committed 15 years to the Pioneer Center for Human Services in McHenry, Illinois.
A devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia, Barbara was known for her unwavering faith and her kindness to all she met. Her warmth extended beyond her family to include special friends Sue and Erick Nelson, and Nancy and Chuck Radcliffe in Texas.
Barbara is survived by her brother: John Edward Reichenbach of Cornelia, Georgia; and 117 Nieces and nephews including some great, great great, and even great great great, each of whom she cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Beatrice Reichenbach; husband: D.C. Beaumont, brothers, Bob D. Reichenbach and Jerry Dwain Reichenbach; sister, Sue Huene; her sisters-in-law, Dolly M. Reichenbach and Lois Elaine Reichenbach, brother-in-law, Bud Huene, and her stepson, Darrell C. Beaumont of Texas. Her nephews are Steven Michael Reichenbach, Shawn Allen Reichenbach, nieces Debra Joyce (Reichenbach) Jensen, Carolyn Bea Reichenbach, great-nephew’s Jerome Fayette Reichenbach Jr, Nicholas Joel Allen, and great-niece Emily Faith Thompson.
Per Barbara’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and a graveside service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association and/or the American Heart Association.
