The Salem 12u opened up their District Play at Lawrenceville yesterday with a 15-0 win over Wabash. Eli Purdy and Tanner Purintun both homered in the win combining to drive in 4. Salem also got RBI from Ben Lux, Devan Jennings, Dakota Gregg, Myles Donoho and Isaak Knaap. Emit Gibson singled twice and scored twice. Salem got good pitching from Lux, Gregg and Purintun. They advance to the 2nd round today when they play Mt Carmel at 7:45. The first game of the day will feature Lawrenceville against either Olney or Lawrenceville. The 12u are coached by Tyler Lux and Aaron Gregg.
The 11u Districts will be at Musgrove Park in Olney and Salem will open at 6pm on July 2nd against the winner of Robinson and Lawrenceville. Olney and Mt Carmel play the opening game on the 1st. The 11u are coached by Rich Crouse, Caleb Howe and Wade Holsapple.
The 10u Districts will be held at Mt Carmel. Salem will open on Wednesday night at 8pm against Mt Carmel. The first game of the night is Olney and Lawrenceville. The 10u coaches are Cory Purintun, Bud Mulvany and Eric Henson.
