Centralia City Firemen say the source of smoke in a home in the 200 block of Bruce Court turned out to be an attic fan with a locked up motor.
Firemen say there was no fire at the Nikita Jenkins home. The fan was unplugged to correct the issue.
Jenkins had reported the fire after smelling smoke in her home. The fire call came in at 8:29 Sunday night.
