The Salem Wildcats varsity baseball team continued Summer League play at Mount Vernon. The Cats won the opener 7-6 scoring 6 times in the fourth inning to ake a lead they would hold on to. Rhett Detering drove in a pair with RBI also from Colten Shelton, Braden Rector, Cody Beard and Cooper Lobek. Aden Bass had 2 hits, Keaton Gullion singled and scored. Rhett was solid on the mound allowing 4 earned runs in 5.2 and struck out 11. Carter Lowe came in to get the save.
The Rams won the 2nd game 4-2. Brody Collier doubled home a run, Bass added the other RBI.
