The City of Centralia is announcing the placement of flags for branches of the military. To honor veterans, the city has worked with the Veteran’s Affairs Committee to position flags representing each branch of the military at the entrance to the park. The city invites members of the community to join in celebrating and honoring Centralia’s military members by visiting the park and paying tribute to their service.

Mayor Bryan Kuder stated that he is grateful for the Veterans Affairs Committee’s continued dedication and hard work in bringing this initiative to realization. He said their commitment to honoring military members is commendable, and himself and the City Council are grateful for their efforts. He also thanked them for organizing the placement of American flags that line the city’s streets.

City Manager Kory Smith also extended his thanks to the Veterans Affairs Committee and the city’s public property staff for their diligent work and placement of the military flags at Fairview Park. Smith says their dedication to maintaining our parks and public spaces is appreciated.
