Amie Lynn Organ, age 40 of West Frankfort, formerly of Salem, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

Amie was born on June 20, 1984, in Centralia, the daughter of Joseph Lay and Sherri (Organ) Lay.

Survivors include her two children, Drake Hand and Jaelinn Hand; father, Joe Lay; siblings, Jake Dellinger and wife Ashley, Amber Ashlock and husband Brad, and Jarred Williams; grandfather, Paul Womack; god parents, Chris and Judy Jones; nieces, Madyson, Kinsley, and Brynley; husband, John Ferguson; several cousins; special friends, Elizabeth Bennett; and the father of her children, Mike Hand.

Amie was preceded in death by her mother, Sherri Lay; her grandfathers, Roger Lay and Arthur Organ; her grandmothers, Janice Womack and Mary Kay Gunther; and her cousin, Dusty Carter.

Amie was of the Christian Faith and had attended City Hope Church in Centralia.  She was a very bubbly person and loved being around people and having fun.  She enjoyed resale shopping, being at the lake, and collecting anything related to anchors.

A Celebration of Life for Amie Lynn Organ will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions can be made to Amie’s children, with checks made to Jaelinn Hand.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
